Mind games

I saw a show the other day about many different ways our brain reacts to a situation.
One example they gave was "how long does it take for someone to see a lost wallet on the floor?". The experiment was done by leaving a wallet on the floor and waiting for someone to find it. The result: no one took more than 10 seconds to see the wallet and, most of the people, to give to the police.
The second time, they did the same experiment but when they put the wallet on the floor, they put 300$ inside and painted a red circle around it with spray paint. The result: 10 minutes had passed and no one even saw the wallet on the floor not caught it.
Freaky, uh?
